What is this ingredient?

Blueberries (Vaccinium) are small, round fruits with a deep indigo-blue color. The light, powdery coating on the skin, often called the "bloom", is a natural protective layer and often a sign that the berries have been handled gently.

The berries are especially known for their anthocyanins: plant pigments responsible for the blue-purple color. They also contain fiber, vitamin K, modest vitamin C and several polyphenols.
